1. Privacy-First Philosophy

OneScanner is built on a Local-First architecture. Your documents are your own. We do not operate any cloud servers to store your scanned files, images, or extracted text.

2. Information Collection and Processing

• Document Processing (AI & OCR): All document scanning, PDF conversion, and AI-powered Auto-Redaction occur locally on your device using Google ML Kit. No document data is sent to our servers.
• Biometric Data: If you enable the "App Lock (Vault)" feature, authentication is handled by the Android system. The App never accesses or stores your fingerprint or face data.
• No Personal Data: We do not collect names, email addresses, or phone numbers.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services that may collect information used to identify you or your device:

• Google AdMob: Used to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use your Advertising ID (AD_ID) and device information to provide personalized ads and analytics.
• Google Play Services: Required for the App to function, handle In-App Updates, and provide core libraries.

4. Device Permissions

• Camera: To capture documents and ID cards.
• Storage: To save your processed documents and load images for conversion.
• Biometric: To enable the secure App Lock feature.

5. Data Security

Your document history and "Vault" contents are stored in the App's private internal storage. We recommend using a device screen lock to ensure the physical security of your data.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect new features or regulatory requirements. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any changes.
